Four goals send France to 11th place

9. 6. 2017 | Vít Trubièka
France started the game as the more active team. For most of the first period they were in Haiti’s zone and they converted their chances into two goals in the second half of the the period. Haiti had some chances too, but they weren’t as dangerous. The second period had two different parts. In the first part, Haiti controlled the game, and in the second, France. In the third period, the game was interrupted by a lot of stoppages in play. Only the end was more active, when both teams scored once.

Reactions

Jess Tanguy (forward, Team France): We played really well in the first period. I think it was the best game we played in this tournament and that’s why we got the win.

Paul-Arthur Plaisir (captain, Team Haiti): It’s disappointing. It’s not a good way to finish a tournament. We didn’t do the simple things right in the game, but unfortunately that’s what happened. However, the tournament was a good experience. The country is great, everybody here is nice. The organizers were amazing and really nice to us. We definitely would come back here sometime.
