Bermuda wins over Lebanon by 1-goal margin

3. 6. 2017 | Marek Kratochvíl
Lebanon fell just one goal short again. Just like with the Brits, it was the same story for the Lebanese. Bermuda took the lead, but Michael Habib quickly equalized. With two goals in the second period, it looked like a done deal for Bermuda, but Pierre Habib made some excellent saves and Ricardo Abdulahad put his team back in it. Unfortunately for him, that was it from Lebanon.

Reactions

Pierre Habib, goalie of Lebanon: It was a very tough game to play. Lots of penalties, that is very exhausting. I managed to give it all I had and we managed to play with these guys so we’re satisfied after all. We missed the key shots in our power plays. We managed to get into the zone quite good, but our shots were mostly blocked. We have to pick those holes, corners. When we won‘t have so many penalties, we can win a game.

Jacob Amlong, forward of Bermuda: It was our second game. We saw Lebanon yesterday and they were really good, so we knew it is gonna be a tough game. There were lots of penalties on both sides and we managed to score on a power play. We had two goals and added another one, then we wanted to defend the lead. They had lots of penalties which maybe decided the game. Also our goalie was great for us.
