France rolls over Lebanon

4. 6. 2017 | Derek OBrien
It was all France from start to finish, as they poured nine goals past two Lebanese goalies. Martin Domain led the offence with two goals and three assists, while Norbert Abramov, Jess Tanguy and Dominic Martel had three points each. Three unassisted goals and one power-play assist by Alexandre Haddad provided Lebanon with brief moments of joy.

Reactions

Alexandre Haddad (forward, Team Lebanon): I thought we would come out harder than that. At least we battled all the way to the end and didn’t give up, but we’ve gotta come out like that from the beginning, not just in the third period. It’s too late at that point. It was a tough game, but we’ll bounce back and be better next game.

Mathieu Wallet (forward, Team France): Well, I think we started a bit slow, because obviously it was an 8:30 game, but as the game went on we kept getting stronger. We got the win because my teammates are very good, the team play was strong, very good getting out of the zone, and good stopping them from getting out of their zone.
