Goal battle sends Portugal to fight for fifth place

9. 6. 2017 | Vít Trubička
This early morning game wasn´t so active from either side. Even so, five goals were scored in the first period, three by Portugal and two by India. The second period was also sluggish, but not as much as the first. India scored to make it 3-3 heading to the third period. Early in the final period, Jeff Gallant scored his second of the game, which stood up as the winner.

Reactions

Jaisen Gill (defenseman of India): We came out little bit sloppy at the start. The goals at the start made whole game. We played well, we fought up. They scored the late goal. It was good game, but we lost it. You win some, you lose some, so it‘s ok.

Adam Carreira (defender of Portugal): We came out slowly in the beginning. But later we came back into game and we played like we want it. We finished with advantage of one goal and we won the promote to the battle for fifth place.
