One way traffic: Czechs score 12 into Italian net

The beginning of first period looked similar for both teams. Both had some chances, but neither scored a goal. In fifth minute the Czechs opened the scoring and they added another before the end of the period. In second they scored four goals and six more in the third for a 12-0 final score. Two hat-tricks were recorded by Tomas Fejfar and Radim Stepanik.

Tomas Friml, assistent coach of czech team: The beginning of the wasn t from us good. We were up thanks to our keeper, Jan Simara. We weren t emphasisly, but after four minutes, it was changed. We played more emphasisly. We simplified our game. We forced more to goal and scored goals. Later, we were playing much better.
